Britney SpearsBritney Spears tells Instagram she ‘wants to be feared’

The popstar’s social media has been a way for her to reclaim her narrative at a time in her life when her voice had been ‘silenced’.

Hours before removing her Instagram, Britney Spears on Tuesday remarked about her return to Las Vegas as a tourist, having been treated like a “puppet” while she performed a four-year-long residency.

While she starred in Britney: Piece of Me, the singer said her family were given the “star treatment” while she worked long hours. “The only thing I’ve known when I used to go to Vegas was a hour-long meet and greet with 40 people every night, getting the worst pics of me and then a two-hour show!” she wrote.

“Let’s just say this time visiting it gave me a whole new perspective on what it means to live!” She added that she doesn’t want to be “loved” in this world. “I want to be feared! “Being loved and being nice got me taken advantage of so take your [pity] and go f**k yourselves!”
