Top 5 Games Releasing in September 2021

This year was looking great with a lot of exciting games scheduled to be released later this year but have been delayed due to the pandemic situation.

However, there are still a couple of interesting games lined up for release this month and we have compiled a list of our top recommendations.

This list covers some amazing releases like Deathloop and Kena: Bridge of Spirits, among others.

1. Deathloop

Release date: September 14, 2021

Platforms: PC, PS5

The first-person shooter brought to you by Arkane Studio focuses on Colt – a hitman who is stuck in a time loop and the only way to break out is to take out eight targets before the day resets. There is another assassin, who is protecting the loop and wants the cycle to repeat again and again. 

Players can complete the task according to their playstyle and learn each victim’s behaviour making it easy for them to stop the time loop. The game will be coming out in less than two weeks and will be available on Steam for £49.99.

2. Kena: Bridge of Spirits

Release date: September 21, 2021

Platforms: PC, PS5, PS4

Ember Lab will be coming out with its own action-adventure game this month. It will feature Kena, a spirit guide with supernatural abilities who is on a journey to the sacred mountain shrine to end a curse and restore her land. 

In her journey, Kena will be collecting wayward creatures called Rot which will provide her with unique abilities and skills to fight against every obstacle that she faces. The game will be available to play later this month and fans can get it on the Epics Games Store for £31.99.

3. NBA 2K22

Release date: September 22, 2021

Platforms: PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S

The NBA series has a pattern for releasing their new editions in September every year. This year is no different and the popular basketball game will be coming out with a lot of graphic changes and new features.

There has been a lot of improvements in terms of graphics along with updated rosters and player ratings. The game allows you to not just compete as players but also as your favourite teams’ manager — making changes to your team and participating in tournaments. Visual Concepts has also put in a lot of effort in enhancing the adaptive triggers which will eventually provide a better gaming experience to the users.

4. Diablo II Resurrected

Release date: September 23, 2021

Platforms: PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S

The popular action RPG will be coming out with a lot of new upgrades in terms of both graphics and audio. This is a remastered version of its previous edition, Diablo II, and will showcase similar gameplay but with improved visuals. 

The online co-op mode can be played with up to 8 players and the solo mode features an epic storyline ready to be unfolded. It will be available later this month and can be bought from the Blizzard Entertainment Store for £28.89.

5. Lost in Random

Release date: September 10, 2021

Platforms: PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S

This action-adventure game is a dark fairy tale about a little girl, Even on a journey to save her sister from an evil queen. The quest is full of fights and obstacles where a die named Dicey follows her to help her fight the queen.

Both of them embark on a journey and face multiple challenges where Even uses her slingshot to knock energy cubes off enemies and Dicey can be thrown around to activate unique attacks. The game will be available to play in the coming weeks and can be bought from Steam at £21.69.
