Phabo Releases New “Slippery” Music Video Ft. Destin Conrad

Los Angeles-based R&B artist Phabo releases the music video for his new single “Slippery” featuring singer/songwriter Destin Conrad. The video brings the story of the song to life as Phabo races against time to reach his love interest before it’s too late.

The “Slippery” video begins with Phabo already en route to his muse (Widny Bazile) as Overdoz’s Cream “previews” his latest single—an ode to Urban radio in the 90’s/early 00’s. The deeply saturated colors of the video perfectly accent the buttery, guitar-driven production from LosHendrix, while a special appearance from Destin Conrad goes hand-in-hand with the darker themes of his verse.

One of the most talented and hardworking artists/writers in LA, Phabo is as gifted as he is driven. While he regularly shares the gift of his pen with artists like Kehlani, Kyle Doin and Jahkoy, he has shown the world his ability to transition into artist mode with ease. Phabo found his musical inspiration at church, where he learned simple yet enrapturing melodies and chord progressions that season his music today. Meanwhile, high school freestyle rap battles helped him pass the time and tighten his lyrical abilities. In 2014, Phabo created the four part mixtape ‘Ratchet & Blues,’ which showcases the depths of his versatility as both a rapper and a singer. Having mastered the power of storytelling and expression, Phabo’s new music, including his latest single “LNF,” is a reflection of the heights he has reached.

“Slippery,” dubbed a Best New Track by Hypebeast, is the latest release off the longtime Kehlani collaborator’s new project, set to be released later this year via Soulection Records and Over Everything.
